The Lower South Coast is home to endless, swimming beaches for affordable, beach holidays on the shores of the warm Indian Ocean. Glenmore Beach, Leisure Bay, Trafalgar and Marina Beach, all close to Munster, have some of the most spectacular, yet unspoiled beaches in South Africa. Glenmore Beach in Munster has lifeguards on duty and shark nets in place. Surfing conditions on Glenmore Beach are so good that it the chosen site for the filming of the surfing movie, “Blue Crush2”.

The lower south coast is home to a number Blue Flag beaches. This is a coveted international achievement. The Blue Flag is an awarded presented to a swimming beach that meets excellence in areas of safety, amenities, cleanliness and environmental standards. The closest Blue Flag beaches to Munster are Trafalgar Beach, Marina Beach and Ramsgate Beach, all within a 15 minute drive.
